This interview was a happy accident! Walking the isles of San Diego Comic Con, we stumbled by Mustafa, the President of CFX Comics, and I was sucked in by the excitement that he had in his voice, for the projects that they are working on!

Mustafa told us about the fellowship that was started, in order to find the best 20 students, chosen to go through a one year intensive process, in order to flesh out their ideas, and develop comics from them. From Comics For Peace: “Comics for Peace seeks to encourage and promote positive social change through the medium of comic books. This series of five comic books were authored by teams of university students from across Pakistan, creating stories that bring attention to the societal issues that concern them, including discrimination, hate, violence and extremism. Working under the mentorship and support of professional comic book writers and artists, the students have developed compelling storylines and themes that will raise awareness and provoke dialogue among their peers and the larger global community.”
