TOTLB 104 Jeremy and Marsha

It’s always fun when the whole gang is together!! Episode 104 takes us to the NEW Hall of Justice Comics & Collectibles!! If you haven’t been to HOJ Comics, you definitely need to go visit! If you’re looking for a new comic book shop, even out of state, Jon is one of the best owners there is!! As normal when we get together with Jon, he gives us the low down on some of the new comics coming out, and any changes he see’s since they moved to the new location!

Our #popcultureclassic for this episode was 1999’s, The Matrix!! Sounds like many of us have very fond memories of this movie, even if some of those memories are short, because some of us are young! We get to talk about whether The Matrix would work as a movie now, how it holds up, and if all of these types of movies comes from this movie. Also, is there too much “bullet time” in these movies?

Remember, you can ALWAYS let us know what you think! We can only think of so many things to talk about every other week, and would LOVE to get some feedback and ideas from all of you out there who are listening!! You can send mp3s and email to our email address. Also, join the conversations on our Facebook Page and Twitter Page. If you have good feedback, please leave it for us on iTunes and Stitcher!! That’s one way to help us climb the ranks into podcast glory!! You can ALSO leave us voicemail!!! Call the Michael Kuyrk memorial 970-573-6148 and leave us a hilarious message!!! PLUS FOR AS LITTLE AS $1/MONTH you can support us on Patreon!! A lot of cool extras on there for those who support!!

New Comics for October 11th 2017

New Comics Release for 10/11/17

Well, its snowing today, and the beautiful leaves are in
the middle of their fall colors. It’s my absolute favorite time in Colorado!
What makes this better? New comics of course! Lets jump in to the new books
coming out this Wednesday!
From DC this week, a couple new series hit the
racks, but don’t forget to pick up a copy of Metal #3! First, Ragman starts a new 6 issue mini
series written by Ray Fawkes with art by Inaki Miranda. After a failed
mission to raid a tomb in the Israeli Desert, war veteran Rory Harper is
plagued by the death of his partners. As Rory battles his guilt back in Gotham
City, he discovers that what was in that tomb has followed him home, and it’s
about to change his life. But as Rory begins his journey, an evil is invading
Gotham City, and it wants what he’s discovered. A hero is born in this
visionary reimagining of the Ragman mythos by writer Ray Fawkes and artist
Inaki Miranda! Also new this week are Gotham City Garage #1 and Wildstorm
Michael Cray #1.

From Image this week, 3 new series kick off,
starting with Atomahawk #0! Behold, puny earth
things! A deluxe, oversized collection of the story by Donny Cates originally
serialized in Heavy Metal magazine, this is the complete adventure of the
Cyberzerker and his mighty Atomahawk! Join them on their quest to free their
imprisoned God. Also out this week is
The Family Trade #1 by Justin Jordan and Morgan Beem. Steampunk, alchemy, and
adventure meet the ocean. On an island city in a world where history didn’t quite
turn out like ours, a hidden family of spies, thieves, and assassins makes sure
that the world keeps going. Or they did, until Jessa Wynn, their youngest
member, manages to start a civil war. Lastly, from Paul Jenkins and Hendry
Prasetya, God Complex #1 is out. In the futuristic city of Delphi, a young
digital-forensics investigator named Seneca finds himself embroiled in the
bizarre murders of three church acolytes. Guided by his cryptic mentor, the
Ruler named Hermes, Seneca uncovers a stunning conspiracy and a mystery that
will turn his entire world upside down.

From Marvel this week, Legacy titles keep the hits a coming! This week, Amazing Spider Man returns to its legacy numbering as
issue #789 hits the stands with “The Fall of Parker” Part 1. Dan Slott and
Stuart Immonen return to classic down on your luck Peter Parker. New York has changed,
and so has Peter – but entering a new phase of his Spider-Man life isn’t easy;
neither are new relationships OR new foes. Peter Parker is not the Spider-Man you
remember, but why is he taking his fight to THE DAILY BUGLE? And what happened
to PARKER INDUSTRIES?

TOTLB 027 The Boss Is Here

PodcastImage
From the luxurious basement of Gabe, we bring you the 27th episode of the Thinking Outside the Long Box podcast!! The Godfather of podcasts and savior to us all, will also be joining us in this episode!
With Jon’s grand opening looming closely, he is still away opening up what will be one of the best comic book shops in Colorado!! While he is doing that, the show must go on! Today, after a WHOLE year of being on the airwaves, we bring in Albie, the Godfather to us all!! He is the creator of Barren Space Productions!! Without him, you wouldn’t get to hear us three idiots chatting about nerd culture all the time!! Albie tells us all about ALL of his projects!! His first, of course, is how I got into podcasting, via the Quantum Leap Podcast! Then of course we speak about A Conversation with Albie, Bedtime with Bruce, and his next BIG project, the Back to the Future Podast: The Animated Series. THAT promised to be an exciting series, which dropped 6 episodes on “Back to the Future” day!! Subscribe here… Also Have Albie edit your stuff! podcastforyou.com
Aside from the awesome conversation with Albie, as always Gabe and I bring you the most awesome/latest news in TV/Movies!! We talk a LOT about about a few different things, plus Gabe tells us all about his satanic rituals! Super weird crazy stuff!!
Also, if you have good feedback, please leave it for us on iTunes and Stitcher!! That’s one way to help us climb the ranks into podcast glory!!
