TOTLB 088 Pre Con Relaxation

This episode, 88, is our relaxation time before all of our Denver Comic Con Coverage. Juan, Gabe, and Doyle sit around and talk about what has happened in the last month. We discuss Rick possibly leaving The Walking Dead, Roseanne being racist, and Samantha Bee getting reprimanded for a word used in other countries as “normal.”

We also talk about some of the interviews that we have for Denver Comic Con, and some of the other comic cons that we have coming up for the rest of the year. This is our episode to relax, before our schedule gets insane. So mostly, just enjoy a very easy going conversation between all of us.

Remember, you can ALWAYS let us know what you think! We can only think of so many things to talk about every other week, and would LOVE to get some feedback and ideas from all of you out there who are listening!! LIVE from the Kress Cinema & Lounge theater in Greeley, Colorado, we are bringing you The Walking Dead special event!!
This special edition of the Thinking Outside the Long Box podcast comes directly from the Kress, in front of a “studio audience.” We spoke about everything “The Walking Dead.” What our theories were for that night (season finale), who might die, who might live, if there would be any special guest, etc. If you love The Walking Dead, then this is the episode for you! We also took questions/theories from the audience! It was our first time doing this sort of thing, and though a little rough around the edges, it definitely won’t be our last!!
Because of the time frame in front of the Walking Dead, we also bring to you, THREE amazing interviews!! Our first interview comes from the winner of our #mynerdroom contest!! Her name is April, and not only does she have one of the coolest all around “nerd rooms,” but she is also an accomplished cosplayer!! Our second interview comes from the awesome duo of Chris & Jason of Themis Comix! They tell us about all of their comic book genius, Baron Von Saturday, and soo much more! Jason will also be doing something a little special for us in the future!! Our last interview (ends the episode) is will Lilly, from Season 3 of the TBS television show, “King of the Nerds.” This is an amazing interview, and Lilly is uber nice, and she is SUPER enthusiastic to tell us all about the TV show. Plus, not only is she a TV star, she is also a great cosplayer!!

Good morning Peoria!! The eighth episode of The Thinking Outside the Long Box podcast is up and READY to be listened to! It is a “best of 2014” episode! We will run through our “best of” for movies, TV shows, comic books, and our favorite movie trailer of the year! Also, Jon and Gabe take their old segment back to 1994, 20 years ago! Jon tells us about Aquaman Volume 5, which brings about a very different Aquaman than most people are used to! Gabe tells us of his love for GI Joe, and the last issue that came out in 1994! AND, Juan throws in an “old shit” segment, telling us a little bit about Quantum Leap, the Quantum Leap Podcast, and a little bit more on how this podcast came to be! If you’ve never listened to Albie and the rest of the crew from the Quantum Leap Podcast, follow the link at the bottom of the page, you won’t be disappointed!
You also won’t want to miss the great interviews with The Higher Universe Comics, and Forrest Publishing! They tell us about their “superhero origin stories” as well as some of the stuff that they have out now, and will be in the works. They have MANY really cool ideas coming, so you won’t want to miss them!
The Higher Universe Comics tells us about a boy with a balloon head…………and The Misfits, a group of super heroes that might not be so super! Also Forrest Publishing tells us about Whisper, about a “gentleman” just trying to get some sleep…………. These two companies are definitely taking it to the next level, and we are all excited to see what their future brings!!
