nugneH all of you listeners out there!! The eleventh episode brings you back to our wonderful land of the long box cavern!! Thanks to every one of you listeners!! Our special guest for this episode is Nick Armstrong with the FOCO Comic Con group!! Nick tells us ALL about this Comic Con that will be happening in September of 2015, in Fort Collins, Colorado!! Not only should you come for the comic con, but Fort Collins is also one of the leading cities in the country for craft breweries! This is their fist year operating, BUT they are planning some BIG things! Make sure you check out the website, and buy a ticket when they become available. There is also a way for you to let them know, if you are interested in putting on a panel!! Scoot on over to their website!!
We talk about ALL of the events that we will be at in March! We will be attending all of the following; FOCO Comics & Gaming Festival, Colorado Comic Book Enthusiasts Swap, Colorado Cosmic Con, and of course, our LIVE show at the Kress Cinema & Lounge. We will be recording a live show in front of a crowd, right before the season finale of The Walking Dead. Also, we have recently been gaining some incredible steam on our social media accounts! Because of this, we are holding a contest. The winner will receive a “loot crate” type of prize. You will receive different prints, comic books, etc. The ONLY thing you have to do is take a picture of your nerd room that shows off all of your glorious nerd items; comic books, posters, pictures, paintings, etc. Take a picture, tag us and hash tag #outsidelongbox and #mynerdroom. It’s that easy! The winner will be announced at the LIVE recording in March.
Jon’s “old shit” segment brings us some Silver Aged comic books that he recently picked up. Strange Adventures 215, Worlds Finest 153, and The Flash Annual 1. Gabe’s “old shit” is also a few recent pick ups, but they are magazine sized books; Thunderbunny, Particle Dreams, Whispers & Shadows, and Grendel omnibus 1!
