It’s the end of an era, but possibly the start of something new. When Marvel Studios began making super hero films, nobody would have ever guessed that this band of heroes would have been the team up with their own movies. Arguably, very few people had even heard of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Yet, here we are, talking about Volume 3, and what is supposed to be the end of the team as we’ve known them so far.
“Still reeling from the loss of Gamora, Peter Quill must rally his team to defend the universe and protect one of their own. If the mission is not completely successful, it could possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.”
I guess, like Agent Smith would say, everything with a beginning, has an end. That doesn’t necessarily mean that we won’t see this team in the future. I mean there are still many multi-universe stories to be told. It just means that, unless Marvel is lying, this will be the last rendition of GOTG to feature this main team.
