‘Evil Dead’ Sequel Coming to HBO Max with Sam Raimi & Bruce Campbell Producing

It’s time for the dead to rise once more!! Some of the scariest, and yet funniest, dead to have walked the earth in movies! That’s right, the cult classic horror franchise, Evil Dead, is coming forward with another sequel series! It’s now been confirmed, that both Sam Raimi & Bruce Campbell are on board, even though Bruce will not be serving in his normal capacity in front of the camera. Instead, the film will be directed by Lee Cronin, produced by Robert Tapert, with Raimi & Campbell serving as executive producers!

By all accounts, as of the time of this writing, the sequel series will be titled, Evil Dead Rise. Apparently the sequel will be ignoring the new movie, and not tie into the movies that originated the franchise, but will be set in the same universe, and set after the events of the first three movies. This new series will star Alyssa Sutherland, and Lily Sullivan as two estranged sisters, who are reuniting. Amongst the reunion, they run into the deadite demons, and they are pit against in a battle for their lives! There is no pending release date yet for Evil Dead Rise, but it will be landing at HBO Max, which seems to be the newest destination for great TV!!
