2022 might be the year for a couple of fun revivals for the Thinking Outside the Longbox crew! February of 2022 is bringing back a fan favorite in the OG Law & Order WITH Sam Waterston reprising his role as the best lawyer on TV, Jack McCoy! BUT, and this is a big but for us, the more exciting news is that NBC has ordered a pilot for a sequel series to the beloved show, Quantum Leap!

Airing from 89 – 93 with five seasons under it’s belt, starring Scott Bakula (Sam Beckett) and Dean Stockwell (Al Calavicci) as a funny duo who are traveling through time! Sam Beckett was part of a time traveling experiment that “went a little caca.” Putting right what once went right, Sam is jumping from life to life, making the world a better place, all the while trying to get home, and back to his family!

This new series will take place 30 years after Sam first stepped into the the quantum leap accelerator and vanished! The project’s team, has assembled a new group of people to understand what ultimately happened, and to learn more about how Ziggy works!

Donald P. Bellisario the creator of Quantum Leap, and Deborah Pratt will both return as executive producers! Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt (both executive producers on La Brea) are writing the pilot and will also executive produce under their I Have an Idea! Entertainment banner.
