This movie that we’re talking about today, seems to be MANY years in the making! Almost thirty years in the making for a decent reboot to be made, but almost fifty five years in the making, for a movie that most fans of the original novel were hoping to be made! Of course, this is only the first of a two part movie, but most fans seem to be pretty excited about this newest adaptation of the Dune series!

“A mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey, “Dune” tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people.”

The original Dune novel hit the book shelves in 1965, written by author Frank Herbert. It’s such a vast world, with a lot of depth to it, that most fans of the novel, were definitely not fans of the original movie that came out in 1984! So, you could of course expect some trepidation from fans when the 2021 film was announced! We’re here to chat about that film, what we thought about it, and whether we thought it lived up to what the original should have been!
