It’s pop culture classic time!! We’re going back all the way to 1988, when Juan was barely a year old! Our Patreon supporter Jason chose this film, because he had watched it during Christmas, and said that it still held up at the time!! We are of course talking about the first of MANY films, Die Hard!

“New York City policeman John McClane (Bruce Willis) is visiting his estranged wife (Bonnie Bedelia) and two daughters on Christmas Eve. He joins her at a holiday party in the headquarters of the Japanese-owned business she works for. But the festivities are interrupted by a group of terrorists who take over the exclusive high-rise, and everyone in it. Very soon McClane realizes that there’s no one to save the hostages — but him.”

The crazy thing about this film, is that we debated and spoke about many things, and not one of those things were whether or not this was considered a Christmas movie? What do you guys think about that? Otherwise we spoke about McClane’s incessant need to save the whole world by himself, and the many sequels that have come from this original! Also, hot take, we think that Die Hard with a Vengeance is the best of the series! We also speak about the late, great, Alan Rickman!
