I’m sure that most of you have seen the movie that is today’s topic. BUT, much to my surprise, when we were planning on what would release on Christmas Eve (happy almost Christmas!!) Doyle revealed to me that he had never seen Christmas Vacation!! That was a pretty big freaking revelation, so of course, we had to make that today’s episode!!
“As the holidays approach, Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) wants to have a perfect family Christmas, so he pesters his wife, Ellen (Beverly D’Angelo), and children, as he tries to make sure everything is in line, including the tree and house decorations. However, things go awry quickly. His hick cousin, Eddie (Randy Quaid), and his family show up unplanned and start living in their camper on the Griswold property. Even worse, Clark’s employers renege on the holiday bonus he needs.”
While personally this isn’t my favorite National Lampoon’s movie, it IS a Christmas staple for sure. It’s always watched at least one time during the season, and it is probably the most popular movie of the series! If you’ve been on the earth for any amount of time and haven’t seen this, it’s time for you to get acquainted with Chevy Chase, and throw this one on! I promise you’ll laugh a few times, if for nothing other than cousin Eddy!
